A Thoughtful Valentine's Day
If living in a pandemic has taught me anything, it has showed me how important thoughtfulness is. It doesn’t take a lot of money to just be thoughtful. However, if you have a girl, you know she wants a gift for Valentine’s Day. I’m here to help - 5 gifts under $50!
This is tops on the list and it’s free! A letter. So simple and the most thoughtful gift. Handwritten, thoughts or reflections of your love on paper. If you aren’t great with the words, a poem or a favorite song, written down on paper, signed with your name is perfect. Thank me later.
Flowers - I’m not much of a buy me roses girl, but I know there are plenty of ladies who love them. Instead of the traditional (over priced) Valentine’s Day dozen roses, what about a potted rose plant, a sunflower grow kit or tulip bulbs in a vase that will bloom slowly. Options below from local hardware store, all under $30.
A journal - even if we have 1 or 2 (or 5 in my case), we always want another. There’s just something about a shinny new journal. It has all the hope and possibility of new things and we love them.
KC Merch - you can’t go wrong, I mean Super Bowl bound and all. Even if they are much of a football fan, you can still put on for the city. 1KC is one of my favorites and they have a ton of options, beanies, cropped sweatshirts, t-shirts - so many things! If you want to go see stuff in person, Made in KC Store has a great selection for you to pick out in person.
Good old fashion playlist. I’m old, so I remember the mix tapes (on actual cassette tape) and burned CDs that former boyfriends would make me. Time to revive that in 2021 fashion. Create a playlist on her favorite streaming channel. A romantic one for Valentine’s Day/date night. On the more creative side, a “Monday on the Way to Work-make her day Better” playlist or motivating playlist for her work out (but only if she’s already into fitness, don’t get yourself in trouble).
