That toddling town owes me nothing. I had the most fun long weekend. Easy road trip from Kansas City (hour flight if you don’t want to drive). Perfect long weekend escape.

Stay:

21c Museum Hotel is a can’t miss. I recently stayed at the Kansas City location and it’s my favorite boutique hotel. They have 9 properties around the country and anytime there’s a 21c location, that’s where I stay. Offering a unique experience with 10,000+ square feet of exhibition space featuring art of the 21st century. The museum is free of charge to the public, online reservations are available. Every single wall, around every single corner is Instagram-able!

21c Chicago has several great offerings right now that make for amazing staycations such as the pet package, free parking package, the Van Gogh & 21c Experience and more! It’s downtown and the perfect location to walk around and see all the things. And, I saw everything!

Chicago has no shortage of things to see. From the River Walk to the Navy Pier to The Bean to the 360 Chicago Observation Deck/ The Tilt and so much history, you can find something you’ll love.

Currently Van Gogh Chicago is on exhibit and you definitely should make time to get there. I did an 8am yoga class, immersed in the art and it was a spectacular experience. The pictures do not do it justice, it’s to be experienced!

Eat:

Just a 4 minute walk from 21c is The Goddess Baker. Coffee, juice, breakfast and so many baked goods. The coffee was amazing and y’all know how I feel about my coffee, so you know it was good.

Classic deep dish Pizza is a must and Giodando’s is the place to go.

Everyone knows about Garett’s Famous Popcorn. You can smell the yummy from the hotel- get there early, there’s always a line!
