In my head I was going to start at the beginning of our meal at Seasons 52 and then work my way to the end, but let's just start with my favorite part - shots!! Not alcohol shots, but mini dessert shots. OH! MY! GOODNESS! So yum and they are mini and only $3.00 each, so you should try them all. Their fall section of desserts include:
KEY LIME PIE - pecan crust, toasted meringue
PECAN PIE -vanilla bean mousse, whipped cream, honey-glazed pecan
BELGIAN CHOCOLATE S’MORE - chocolate cake, rocky road mousse, toasted marshmallow, chocolate-dipped graham cracker
MOCHA MACCHIATO -mocha & vanilla mousse, chocolate cake, caramel sauce
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TORTE -chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, peanut tuile
PUMPKIN PIE -pumpkin mousse, gingersnap cookie
CARROT CAKE -cream cheese frosting, cinnamon honey
Needless to say my favorite was the Belgian Chocolate S'more. I mean that chocolate dipped gram-cracker that topped the dessert, I could have eaten by the handful!
Now that we talked about the desserts, let's get back to the rest of the meal. We started with Flat bread & drinks. The flat breads:
LOBSTER & FRESH MOZZARELLA roasted sweet peppers, scallion, lobster sour cream(with actual lobster on it, not just in the sauce, in case you were wondering) and the ROASTED MUSHROOM -goat cheese, truffle oil, green onion which is perfect for my vegetarian friends. Right now, their special is 2 glasses of wine and a flatbread for $15.00 - great deal, but we started with 2 of their seasonal signature drinks. The ORGANIC SUNSHINE MARTINI with Orange-Infused Prairie Organic Vodka, Simple Syrup was light and refreshing and thePEARFECT STORM with Absolut Pears, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Bosc Pear, Thyme - both paired so well the flat breads. It would make the perfect happy hour, after work stop.
Their Fall Menu choices are full of root vegetables and a variety of choices from Salads to Sea to the Pasture. No matter your preference, you will definitely be able to find something you like. I chose the CEDAR PLANK-ROASTED SALMON with roasted vegetables, crushed potatoes, dill-mustard sauce, grilled lemon. I really had a hard time picking, everything looked so good. Some of the other selections are the table were Shrimp & Grits, scallops, short ribs and Tuna - which was basically a work of art. The food and the service was so wonderful, I am already making plans to head back there for my birthday. If you know me in real life, you know what a huge deal my birthday is!
If you visit Seasons 52 for lunch, dinner, happy hour or just dessert shots - you will not be disappointed!
